"Colletotrichum is an important plant pathogenic genus that has undergone tremendous taxonomicchanges. Species of Colletotrichum also occuras endophytes, saprobes and rarely entomopathogens.The current understanding ofColletotrichum taxonomy and application of various techniques in defining species within the genus is discussed in this paper.
